CSU Day of Service

CSU Day of Service

This past Saturday, August 22nd,  we were able to participate in a community wide volunteer event hosted by CSU called Day of Service. The Columbus Museum was one of many participants in this event where CSU students came out to our location and provided us with hours of service to help us in our upcoming endeavors. We had 15 volunteers and their chaperones show up bright and early on Saturday morning where we split them into two groups: one was in our Education Department helping prep art crafts for our upcoming outreach events and the other was stationed in our Olmstead Garden where they spent time beautifying the grounds. Both of these were a great help to The Museum as it allowed for us to get a jump on future events. We greatly appreciate all of the help provided by CSU and their students and look forward to participating again next year!

Can a CHS student volunteer to assist with the Columbus State University group doing volunteer work at the Museum, or perhaps volunteer directly under the supervision of an education department member in order to secure “volunteer hours” for Columbus High School?
