Explore the museum this week as we discover the fascinating history of fiber in the arts! From creating your own currency from scratch to making woven works with straw looms, this camp will help you learn the history and practices used in dying techniques in multiple cultures. Each camper will also make their own landscape work using felt. Students will learn about the process for making their own tie-dye shirts, break down the fiber in leaves to make artistic skeletons, and create their own paper from scratch using a mix of cotton and pulp. Join us and find out how tightly interwoven the history of fiber and art are!
