When visiting the Columbus Museum, do you ever wonder about the long process and hard work that goes into putting the exhibits together beforehand? It seems as if all of the items just appear where they should be, right?
Well today we are showing you a peak into the thorough steps taken to do something as simple as dressing a mannequin! Below is a video and photos of Aimee and Mellda from our registration department demonstrating how they dress a mannequin from start to finish, using a dress worn by H. Augusta Howard around 1890. This dress was recently added to our history collection as a gift from the Columbus State University Archives.
