Technology has transformed that way we receive information. Onc example is podcasting. A podcast is a series of digital media files (audio, video) that are accessed through a web-based feed. Podcast feeds are distinguished from straight-forward downloads or streamed webcasts. Applications called "podcatchers" (e.g. itunes) can access the feed and check it for updates.
