Museum Manners

For your safety and the safety of the art, we ask that you share museum manners with your child, as well as the reasoning behind them.

Please don’t touch the works of art or get too close.  There are natural oils and dirt on your skin that can damage works of art—even if you have just washed your hands!

Remind your children never to run in the museum—we don’t want you to get hurt or accidentally run into a work of art!

Food and drink are not allowed in museum gallery spaces or Transformations.  These items can be harmful to works of art.

Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.  Unattended children will be escorted to the Security Office and will remain there until a parent or caretaker is located.
